Two cops injured in landmine blasts

Visakhapatnam, Oct 31 (UNI) Two constables of a special police party were injured when Maoists triggered a landmine blast at Kindangi village in this district today.

Police sources said, the incident occurred when the cops were engaged in combing operations in the agency forest areas of the district.

In a separate incident, exchange of fire took place between the police and the outlawed Maoists near Kunukooru village. No casualty was reported from either side, the sources said.

Police had confronted some Maoists at Pedapadu village yesterday.

The Maoists, before fleeing, triggered a landmine blast, injuring some policemen.
