Tributes to Sardar Patel on 132nd birth anniversary

New Delhi, Oct 31: Rich tributes were paid to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 132nd birth anniversary today.

Floral tributes were offered the portrait of Sardar Patel, known as the 'Iron man of India and chief architect of a unified and integrated nation' at a function held in the Central Hall of Parliament House.

Among those who paid tribute to Sardar Patel were Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani, Union Ministers Priyaranjan Dasmunsi, Murli Deora, Suresh Pachauri and Ms Subbulakshmi Jagadeesan and MPs M Ramadass, M Venkaiah Naidu, Rajeev Shukla and Ms Prabhavathi Thakur.

Former members of Parliament were also present on the occasion.
