Silver, Gold dip on thin ornament makers' demand

Mumbai, Oct 31: Both the precious metals drifted lower for the second consecutive day today with Silver down by Rs 30 per kg and Gold by Rs 25 per ten gm on sustained selling pressure by stockists and bearish advice from global and upcountry markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 19,070 (19,100) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 10,000 (10,025) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 10,050 (10,075).
