Sengupta is new Culture Secretary

New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) Mr Abhijit Sengupta, a 1972 batch IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre, has taken over as Secretary of the Ministry of Culture.

He replaces Mr Badal K Das, who retired on superannuation today.

Mr Sengupta was working as Principal Adviser, Planning Commission.
