Second FM to be launched in Karnataka on Rajojytsava day

Mysore, Oct 31 (UNI) The country's number one FM network, Bg 92.7 FM, today announced that second station in Karnataka would be launched on 'Kannada Rajoytsava' day.

Speaking to media persons Karnataka and Kerala incharge Ms Kamal Mohandas said that the Mysore station would be the 37th station of the network in the country. In the first phase, FM stations in metros of Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Mumbai would be launched. The second phase, mini metros across the country would be taken up which would eventually take the total to 45.

The new station here not only to entertain but to inform and empower the listeners with utilities.

It has designed utilities such as traffic and weather updates along with the time checks and health tips to help optimize the listeners' time managment and health.

She said with an aim to touch 200 million listeners, which was every fifth Indian across the country, every third urban Indian and every eighth Indian rural areas, the FM is on its way to grab the pulse of the Indian populace. A Rs 400 crore investment in transmission equipment, infrastructure and licensing, she added.
