Prism files FIR against BADP

Aizawl, Oct 31: Prism (People's Right to Information and development Implementing Society of Mizoram) today logded an FIR against Border Area Development Programme for misutilisation of funds.

The FIR filed before the state's Anti-Corruption Branch stated that the BADP, executed by Rural Development department, had misappropriated funds in the construction of model village at Farkawn, near Indo-Myanmar border, during November-December, 2005.

The Prism had alleged that Rs 10 lakh was paid to the concerned Khawbung BDO on April 21, 2006 for the work, whereas the same amount under the same head was paid to Lt Col AK Mor of 25 Assam Rifles on April 28, 2006.
