Chennai, Oct 31 (UNI) Nokia, the leader in mobile communications, today announced a tie-up with BharatMatrimony to offer matchmaking services through mobile phones.
This service would allow Nokia device owners in the country to use the portal's services through Nokia Catalogs, a mobile 'shopping mall' that offered a wide variety of content, applications and services on Nokia devices - anytime, anywhere.
BharatMatrimony CEO Murugavel Janakiraman said in a release here that through this collaboration with Nokia, the company had taken matrimony services to a new platform, thus benefitting customers on the move. ''This will also help us reach out to a wider audience,'' he added.
Nokia Vice-President Lee Epting said Nokia was now able to offer this service to more people across the country through a downloadable application that could be found in catalogs, providing them with all the necessary information they need about prospective partners.
Customers could avail the facility, including register and list a profile, pay and search for profiles of prospective spouse, contact a profile and engage a background verification service, the release said.
Besides, BharatMatrimony would soon offer on Nokia devices features such as support videos, images and voice introduction, and a click-to-call facility. In order to better reach out to consumers across the country, the service would be offered in multiple Indian languages, the release added.
