Nine structures gutted in Kashmir fire incidents
Srinagar, Oct 31 (UNI) As many as nine structures were gutted in different fire incidents across Kashmir, police said today.
They said a 'kotha' (hutment) and a cowshed belonging to Ghulam Mohammad Kumar were destroyed in a fire, at Dooniwari in Trehgam area of border district of Kupwara.
Fire broke out at Nard Sangad village in Kokernag area of Anantnag district in which a residential house, three shops and a cowshed belonging to Mohammad Ashraf Wagay were damaged.
No loss of life or injuries to anyone was reported in the incident, the police added.
In another incident, a cowshed and residential house of Mohammad Ashraf Lone were gutted at Mirgund in Anantnag district.
A wooden shed belonging to one Khazir Mohammad War was gutted at Hatmulla in Kupwara district.
The forest compartments 65/66 at Batpora Hyhama in Kupwara district also caught fire, the police said.
The police along with the department concerned were trying to control the blaze.
