KSAMB official caught taking bribe

Bangalore, Oct 31 (UNI) Lok Ayukta sleuths caught a Karnataka State Agricultural Marketing Board (KSAMB) official in Gulbarga red handed while accepting a bribe for showing official favour.

Following a complaint from Mr V Thammanna, Lok Ayukta Police laid a trap and caught KSAMB First Division Assistant Ramanna Gadanchi who initially demanded a bribe of Rs two lakh from the complainant and later settled for Rs 20,000 for taking on lease a building belonging to the KSAMB.

His associate Rajendra S Doni was on leave, an official press release here today said.
