Junagadh jail guard assaulted by 3 men

Junagadh, Gujarat, Oct 31 (UNI) A guard of the Junagadh jail was waylaid and attacked by three men this morning, resulting in both his legs being broken.

Rahimat Khan Wahid Khan Pathan was on his way home when he was attacked with ''dharias'' and sticks.

Police said that Kalu Deva Rabari, who was released from the jail three days ago, was the culprit. He and two others were involved in the incident. Rahimat had an altercation with Kalu just before the latter's release which could have resulted in a grudge against the jail guard, police said.

THe injured Rahimat Khan was rushed to Junagadh hospital from where he was shifted to Rajkot civil hospital. Kalu and his two accomplices are still at large.
