Gov sends report to Prez on political situation

Bangalore, Oct 31 (UNI) Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur tonight sent a report to President Prathiba Patil on the political situation prevailing in the state following Bharatiya Janata Party, staking claim to form the new government with the support of Janata Dal (Secular) The Governor sent the report, which included entire chronology of events that took place after collapse of JD(S)-BJP Coalition Government, following withdrawal of support by the BJP for not transferring power on October 3 as agreed by JD(S).

Mr Thakur also reportedly mentioned about individual affidavits filed by 129 Legislators supporting Mr B S Yeddyurappa as their leader.

The Governor mentioned about allegations and counter allegations hurled by both the parties since October 3.

The Union Cabinet, which is likely to meet on November 2, will discuss the issue.
