Floral tributes paid to Mrs Gandhi

Patna, Oct 31: Floral tributes were paid to the country's first and only woman Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 23rd death anniversary here today.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid floral tributes to Mrs Gandhi at a function organised at the Srikrishna Memorial Hall here.

Artists from the Information and Public Relations department presented patriotic songs and cultural programmes on the occasion.

Besides, Congress workers paid homage to the leader at the Sadaqat Ashram-Congress headquarters and marked the occasion as ''Sacrificing Day''.

The Chief Minister and Governor R S Gavai also paid floral tributes to ''Iron man'' Sardar Patel on his death anniversary.
