Congress refutes TDP's corruption charges

Hyderabad, Oct 31 (UNI) The ruling Congress in Andhra Pradesh today refuted the TDP's corruption charges on major irrigation projects in the state, taken up at a cost of Rs 1,00,000 crore.

Talking to reporters here, Congress spokesperson N Tulsi Reddy said ''the TDP is levelling baseless allegations against the Congress for sheer political survival.'' He said the Congress government had so far completed 18 projects to provide water to 11.94 lakh acres.

''The TDP should stop levelling allegations as the government had publicised details of the completed projects. The government is ready to provide facts and figures to clarify its stand,'' he added.
