Cong leaders pay tribute to Indira Gandhi

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 31 (UNI) Tiruchirapalli Urban District Congress President Jerome Arokiaraj and Mayor Charubala Thondaman today garlanded the statue and paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her 23rd anniversary of death.

Later, Mr Arokiaraj distributed food packets and clothes to the poor here to mark the occasion, which is also observed as 'Anti-Terrorism Day.' On behalf of Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, President of the former councillors municipal association C Balu, garlanded the statue of Indira Gandhi.
