Mishap: 3 killed, 5 injured in UP

Lucknow, Oct 31: At least three people were killed and five others severely injured after a speeding van, they were travelling in, dashed against a stationary mini-truck in Mohanlalganj area of the Uttar Pradesh state capital early today.

The vehicle, en route from Rae Bareli to Lucknow, rammed into the mini-truck on Rae Bareli-Lucknow Highway, injuring eight passengers critically.

While three people died on the way to hospital, others were admitted to the Lucknow Trauma Centre in life threatening condition.

The deceased were identified as Guddu (35), Rajjan (40) and Zahir (30), police said.
