Chargesheets against 17 people

Patna, Oct 31 (UNI) The vigilance investigation bureau here today submitted chargesheets against 17 people in cluding a former chief engineer of Bihar State Housing Board in corruption cases.

The chargesheets were submitted by bureau before the special vigilance judge of Patna, Mr S K Panwar, under the various sections of Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Corruption Act.

The cases, registered in 1989, were related to financial irregularities committed in construction of drain for disposal of rain water under Bahadurpur area in Patna.

The cases were registered in the year 1998.
