CCL to celebrate CIL foundation day on November one

Ranchi, Oct 31 (UNI) The Central Coal Fields Limited(CCL), which has recently achieved ''Miniratna'' status by the Union Government, would celebrate the foundation day of Coal India Limited (CIL).

Talking to reporters here, CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director R P Ritolia today said celebration would be a four-day affair with a variety of programmes, including seminar, science exhibition, painting competition and cultural programmes.

Mr Ritolia said the company with more than 60,000 employees had raised coal production from 33.27 MT to 41.32 MT in six years.

The company had also established land marks in recent years, including being one of the highest tax paying corporate organisations of the state consecutively for two years, Mr Ritolia said.

This year the company was going to produce 44 million ton of raw coal, about 6.5 per cent more than last year's produce, Mr Ritolia added.
