Badal, wife seeks permission to visit abroad

Rupnagar, Oct 31 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his wife, Surinder Kaur Badal, who are accused in a disproportionate assets case, have filed an application in the local court seeking permission to visit abroad from November 10 to 20.

In the application filed in the court of Rupnagar Special Judge G S Saran through his counsel Harmohan Singh Paul, Mr Badal stated that he intends to visit Dubai, Sharjah, UAE and South Africa for motivating the Punjabis settled there for making investment in the Punjab.

The Judge issued notice for tomorrow to the state government on the application.
