Auto drivers continue agitation in AP capital

Hyderabad, Oct 31 (UNI) Autorickshaw drivers continued with their agitation for the second day today asking the government to withdraw its decision to instal digital meters in vehicles running in the twin cities.

The Anti Auto Digital Meters Struggle Committee asked Chief Minister Y S Rajasekahra Reddy to intervene and find a solution.

In a meeting organised by the committee, the participants asked the government to also withdraw the decision of introducing taxis in the city after banning autorickshaws.

This would hurt the livelihood of the poor drivers, the meeting observed.

Meanwhile, APSRTC pressed into service additional buses to avoid inconvenience to the commuters.
