SP MLA arrested in Uttar Pradesh

Lakhimpur Kheri, Oct 30: Police today claimed to have arrested a Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA in Gola area of this district.

SP MLA from the district's Haiderabad area Arvind Giri was accused in four criminal cases, comprising release of a convict from a jail and exchanging hands with BSP workers, police superintendent Dr N Ravindra told to the sources.

The MLA has been nabbed, while further investigations are going on.
