LONDON, Oct 30 (Reuters) 'Ratatouille'', the story of a sewer rat working as a chef at a five-star restaurant, held onto the number one spot at the UK box office for a third week, according to figures from Screen International.

The Disney/Pixar animated comedy took another 3.6 million pounds over the weekend to take its haul to 17.3 million.

New at two was ''Saw IV'', the latest blood-spattered horror episode in the series -- this time without arch-villain Jigsaw.

Down one place at three was ''Stardust'', a fantasy drama starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert De Niro and Sienna Miller about a young man's bid to find a fallen star.

New at four was director David Cronenberg's violent tale of Russian mobsters in London, ''Eastern promises'', while down two at five was ''Rendition'', a thriller about an Egyptian-American seized by the CIA and taken to a North African prison for questioning.

Down two places at six was Ben Stiller's latest romantic comedy ''The Heartbreak Kid,'' the story of a single guy falling for another woman on his honeymoon.

Also down two, at seven, was ''Resident Evil 3'', the third in the series based on a video game franchise.

''Run Fat Boy, Run'', in which a flabby security guard signs up for a marathon to impress an old flame, was down at eight from six.

At nine, down from seven, was ''The Dark Is Rising'', based on Susan Cooper's popular children's adventure books.

New at 10 was ''Sicko,'' Michael Moore's film about health care in the United States.
