ICRI appoints Prof Anthony Woodman as CEO

Mumbai, Oct 30 (UNI) Institute of Clinical Research (ICRI), India's premiere institution in clinical research studies, announced the appointment of Professor Anthony Woodman as its Chief Executive Officer and Associate Dean.

This initiative will help to provide a international perspective to clinical research education in India. In his new role, Prof Woodman will be responsible for all academic activities and operations. He will also be responsible for expanding ICRI operations globally.

Speaking to reporters yesterday, Institute of Clinical Research India (ICRI) President (Strategy) S R Dugal said, ''Prof Woodman has been a stalwart in the field of clinical research in the European market and we are confident that under his able leadership, ICRI will get further momentum in India and also globally. This appointment is in sync with our aim to go global and set international benchmarks in the industry at a global level.'' Prof Woodman has about 15 years of experience in the clinical research field and has been with the Cranfield University for over 3 years as Director Health.

The Institute has recently announced its fifth campus in London, UK. ICRI also announced the launch of a unique course, the first-of-its-kind, a global PG Diploma in Clinical Research in association with ICRI-UK.

ICRI has also recently entered into an academic alliance with Europe's leading research led institution, Cranfield University, UK.

This alliance is aimed at furthering the cause of ICRI in India in grooming professionals in clinical research, to face exciting challenges posed by the pharmaceutical sector and also pave the way for new career opportunities in this field.
