Dahod BJP legislator arrested under Arms Act

Dahod, Oct 30 (UNI) The Gujarat police has arrested BJP legislator Tersinh Damor from his residence here today on charges of attempting to murder, instigating riots and under the Arms Act.

He will be produced in the local court later today or tomorrow.

Damor was arrested on a complaint that he had fired from his gun on the day of the panchyat elections in December 2006.

Police have booked 27 other persons in this case, including the MLA's brother Govind.
