Construction workers in Pondy to get gift coupon

Puducherry, Oct 30 (UNI) The construction workers enrolled as members of the construction workers welfare board would get a coupon for Rs 500 as Deepavali gift.

Board Secretary S D Sundaresan, informing this to newspersons here today said the coupon would be issued from tomorrow till November six and those, who failed to get the coupon by that time could collect it from Board during office hours even after Deepavali.

Nearly 11,000 construction workers were members of the board and 2,000 of them would be given the coupon every day. Arrangements have been made to issue the coupons separately to men and women workers, he added.
