CM calls for post office saving

Puducherry, Oct 30 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today cautioned the people against 'attractive advertisements' of finance companies and urged them to save with the post office.

Mr Rangasamy, who presided over the 'Thrift Day' function and gave away prizes to draw winners in the National Saving Certificate Scheme, said people should minimise their expenses and save money for a better tomorrow.

''The Rs 30 crore savings with the post offices here, this year, is much lesser than the anticipated amount,'' he added.
