Sonia addresses students in China

Beijing, China, Oct. 27, 2007 : Sonia Gandhi, head of Congress Party, visited China's elite Qinghua University today. While addressing the students, she stressed the necessity of open dialogue between the two countries.

Gandhi is visiting China in preparation for a visit from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in a few months time. Her visit follows on the heels of talks between India, Russia and China's foreign ministers in China to discuss regional issues.
