Sterlite Industries Q2 net up 55.8%

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) Sterlite Industries India Ltd today said its net profit increased by 55.8 per cent to Rs 212.87 crore for the quarter ended September 30, as against Rs 136.56 crore for the same period in 2006.

Company's total income rose by 10.9 per cent to Rs 3,696.54 crore for Q2FY07, as against Rs 3,330.56 crore for the same period a year ago, a company statement said.
