Nagaland: Rio deplores on continuous violence

Rio
has
deplored
that
bloodshed
and
violence
became
a
part
of
the
Naga
society
with
no
sign
of
peace
returning
to
the
strife-torn
state.
Addressing the youths on the concluding day of the National Youth Carnival at Dimapur yesterday Rio said forgiveness was the ultimate answer to the problems of the society.
Dwelling on the Gandhian principle, he said non-violence could become an instrument of peace only to those with a forgiving hearts.
Advising the youth to refrain from vengeful acts, he encouraged them to uphold the Christian ways of life.
Addressing the function Rev. Dr. Ngul Khan Pau, in his sermon 'finding freedom in Christ', affirmed that freedom in Christ meant liberation from all guilt, fear and shame.
Over 1500 youths from all over the country assembled to celebrate the three-day long Carnival.
