Olmert diagnosed with cancerous growth in prostate
JERUSALEM, Oct 29 (Reuters) Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said today he has been diagnosed with a cancerous growth in his prostate gland but doctors told him the illness will not affect his ability to work.
At a surprise news conference in Jerusalem, Olmert said the cancer was at an early stage and he would not require radiation therapy at this time. He said he expected to need minor surgery.
