Noted theater personality Prema Karanth died

Bangalore, Oct 29 (UNI) Noted theater and film personality, Prema Karanth died of prolonged illness here today.

She was 71.

She was the wife of late B V Karanth, Music composer and renowned theater personality.

Ms Prema Karanth directed 'Paniyamma' which was adjudged best national movie award. She had also directed children film 'Nakkala Rajakumari' and Hindi Film 'Bandh Zaroorke'. Ganiyamma, had been screened in six international film festival.
