Mob protests outside SSP office over abduction case

Bareilly, Oct 29 (UNI) An irate mob today created 'ruckus' on the Lucknow-Delhi national highway and staged protest outside the Senior Superintendent of Police (SPP) office over the abduction of a trader here.

The mob was enraged over the kidnapping of meat trader Islam Qureshi, resident of Baradari area, two weeks back, sources said.

Following which, they today blocked the movement of vehicles on the highway and gheroed SSP Vijay Prakash's office and district head quarters.

Taking stern action, the SSP handed over the matter to Circle Officer (CO) for a probe.
