History-sheeter shot dead

Bulandshahr, Oct 29 (UNI) Unidentified assailants shot dead a history-sheeter in Salwan area here today.

The incident took place under Salwan police station area, where wanted criminal Rewal Meena (45) was fatally attacked by five masked miscreants.

Meena later succumbed to his injuries, police said.

As many as nine criminal cases were pending against the hardened criminal. He was also accused of killing a constable Jagveer Meena in 2006 and misbehaving with his sister.

A manhunt had been launched.
