Domestic apparel market growing

According
to
a
report
by
a
CII-Ernst
and
Young
Textile
and
Apparel
the
overall
Indian
domestic
apparel
market
was
witnessing
a
growth,
due
to
growing
young
population
and
rising
household
incomes.
Other key driving factors for the growth are increasing consumerism and rapid growth in organised retail. With an estimated market size of USD 8.1 billion at present, the men's apparel sector in India is projected to grow in the range of USD 13.5 to USD 14 billion by 2009.
