Cong doesn't want mid-term poll, but ready to face it:Hooda

Ambala, Oct 29 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the Congress was not in favour of mid-term Lok Sabha polls but the party was well prepared to face the election if ''it was foisted''.

Mr Hooda claimed that in the event of a mid-term poll, the Congress would get a majority and opposition parties would be routed. He said the third front parties would be wiped out once again like the previous elections.

The Chief Minister was interacting with media persons after inspecting the procurement of paddy in grain markets of Naraingarh and Shahzadpur in Ambala district, Sadhaura in Yamunanagar district and Barwala in Panchkula district.

Talking to the farmers and the traders, the Chief Minister assured that each grain of paddy would be purchased by the government agencies and directed the officers that the farmers should be given all the facilities like electricity, drinking water and toilets in the mandis.

About the availability of DAP fertiliser, he stated that there was buffer stock of fertilisers with the government which was being distributed among the farmers as per their requirements. He assured that there would no paucity of DAP fertiliser for the farmers in the state.
