UP: 3 wanted dacoits killed in encounter

Chitrakoot, Oct 29: Three members, including kingpin, of the dreaded Dwarika Kol dacoit gang, were killed in an encounter in Markundi area here this morning.

In a joint operation by Special Operation Group (SOG) and local police, outlaw Dwarika Kol was shot dead along with his aides Preetam Kol and Mannu alias Danav, police said.

The kingpin carried a bounty of Rs 10,000 on his head, while the other two were having a reward of Rs 5,000 each on their head.

A large number of illicit weapons were seized from their possession, they added.
