Three CPI (Maoist) gunmen killed in police encounter
Latehar, Oct 28 (UNI) A day after eighteen people were massacred by the Maoists in Giridih, three rebels were today killed in an encounter with police near Kharcha forest bordering Latehar and Loherdega disrticts of Jharkhand today.
Loherdega's Suprintendent of Police Subodh Prasad said the encounter at Bijabathan area occurred at 1430 hrs in which all the three ultras were gunned down by a special police team comprising officers of both the districts.
One of the slain rebels was identified as Sanjay Yadav, a self styled sub-zonal commander of the CPI(Moaist), Mr Prasad said adding two bodies were yet to be identified.
