Main suspect behind Belpahari landmine blast arrested
Belpahari, Oct 28 (UNI) The main suspect behind yesterday's landmine explosion near Bhangapole village here in West Midnapore district was arrested last night, police here today said.
Superintendent of Police R Rajshekharan said one Anil Mahato, suspected to be the brain behind the explosion, has been arrested from here.
''The bomb disposal squad has also recovered three more landmines from the near-by forest and a few gelatin sticks with which the landmine were exploded,'' Mr Rajshekharan added.
The locals, however, said that they suspect about 15 to 20 Maoists moving and staying in the village in disguise.
