IGNOU to launch PG courses in Comp Chemistry

Indira
Gandhi
National
Open
University
/(IGNOU)
will
soon
launch
postgraduate
courses
and
diplomas
in
Computational
Chemistry,
Scientific
Computing,
Computational
Sciences,
Advanced
Informatics
and
Technology
Enhanced
Education.
IGNOU Vice Chancellor V N Rajasekharan Pillai and Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kerala, Director K R Srivathsan have signed an MoU to this effect.
''The document has been signed to raise the level and jointly explore ways of offer Open Learning Programmes in advance areas through collaboration between an institute like the IIITM-K, combining with IGNOU experience, national infrastructure and capacity to spread education across the nation,'' said an IGNOU spokesperson.
He said the project aims to offer quality post graduation education and academic research facilitation using emerging open learning, open supported learning and technology enhance learning system methodologies.
IGNOU and IIITM-K will explore opportunities for the education and training of teachers employed in engineering colleges and higher educational institutions.
