Ganja worth Rs 75,000 seized, 2 held

Jaunpur, Oct 28 (UNI) Two members of an international smuggling racket were today arrested with 25 kg 'ganja' estimated at Rs 75,000 in the Singramau area of this district .

Police Superintendent Laljai Shukla said, ''Ranjeet and Bharat were nabbed from Behripur village, when they were awaiting a vehicle.'' A bag full of 'ganja' was seized from their possession, he added.

On interrogation, the arrested confessed to the crime, saying they used to sell the drug in Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh after buying it from Maharashtra.

Investigations are on.
