Meghalaya: Explosives seized, one arrested

Shillong, Oct 28: Meghalaya police have arrested a retired government employee for illegally possessing a huge quantity of explosives, police said here today.

Police seized 150 electric detonators, 600 aluminium super plant detonators, 15 rolls of fuse wire and 440 gelatine sticks from the retired employee's residence at Markasa village in West Khasi Hills district.

Police have registered a case and an investigation was on to find out the origin of the explosives.
