Meghalaya: College teachers to observe strike

Shillong, Oct 28: The government employees and college teachers of Meghalaya will hold a day token strike tomorrow.

Sources said the strike has been called by the Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers, All India State Government Employees' Federation and All India Teachers' Federation.

The decision was taken at the National Level joint convention of Government Employees (State and Central) and Teachers' Organisation held in New Delhi in August last that protested against government's failure to implement the 12-point charter of demands of the organisations.
