Bajaj to increase production of XCD 125

Mumbai, Oct 28: Bajaj plans to increase the production of new bike XCD 125 DTS-Si from 50,000 to 75,000 from November due to increase in demand.

The company has sold 65,000 XCD 125 DTS-S since its launch last month and is all set to become India's leading premium motorcycle brand.

The demand for the bike has been attributed to its hi-tech features, which has given the bike performance and economy.

Amit Nandi, G M, Marketing said, ''50 per cent of the volumes are coming from competition, a majority of them being 100cc users. XCD 125 is a compelling package that 100cc customers are finding very difficult to resist'', a company release said.
