TNPL Q2 net up 43.09 per cent

New Delhi, Oct 27: Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd (TNPL) today said its net profit has registered a hike of 43.09 per cent to Rs 33.24 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 23.23 crore for the same period a year ago.

Total income also increased by 1.76 per cent to Rs 245.51 crore for Q2 FY2007-08 against Rs 241.26 crore for the same quarter during the previous fiscal.

TNPL, inter alia, has declared interim dividend of 20 per cent for the financial year 2007-08.
