SP leader shot dead in MP

Tikamgarh (MP), Oct 27: A Samajwadi Party leader and his companion were shot dead near Orchha in Tikamgarh district apparently due to a political rivalry, police said today.

SP leader and Ladpura panchayat Upsarpanch Lakhanlal Yadav accompanied by Kallu was returning to his village on a motorcycle on Thursday night when some miscreants fired at them. While Yadav died on the spot, Kallu succumbed to his injuries at Jhansi hospital, police added.
