Precious metals zoom: BBA

Mumbai, Oct 27: Both the precious metals today advanced further on heavy demand from retailers with Silver shot up by Rs 215 per kg and Gold edged up by Rs 100 per ten gm, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 18,975 (18,760) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 10,040 (9,940) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 10,085 (9,990).
