Arvind Mills Q2 net up 121.51 per cent
New Delhi, Oct 27: Textile heavyweight Arvind Mills today said its net profit has increased by 121.51 per cent to Rs 10.5 crore for the quarter ended September 30, as compared to Rs 4.74 crore for the same period a year ago.
Total income also shot up by 14.61 per cent to Rs 565.39 crore for Q2 FY2007-08, against Rs 493.28 crore for the same quarter during the previous fiscal, a statement said.
Arvind Mills which currently has 70 'Megamart' retail stores across India selling multi-brand apparel, plans to set up 200 more outlets in next four years, besides introducing a larger format 'Megamart Outlet Centres' in top 20 cities.
Currently, Arvind has licensing relationships with brands like GANT, Lee, Wrangler, Nautica, Jansport, Kipling, Hero by Wrangler&Lee Riders, Tommy Hilfiger and most recently Diesel.
