Namesake for Oscars?

Mumbai, Oct. 25, 2007 : Finally all the controversy over Vidhu Vindod Chopra"s Eklavya has ended and now the film has been confirmed as India's entry for the Oscars in the Best Foreign Film category.

But there's a new twist to the Oscar tale. 'The Namesake", produced by Fox-Searchlight, will be in the running for the top Academy Award honors... In fact, Tabu, Mira Nair and Sooni Taraporevala have just flown to Los Angeles for a promotional tour.
