Bikaner, Oct 26, 2007: The desert state of Rajasthan is witnessing the exclusive handmade tufted carpets industry progressing into a prospective major business venture.

Well known as a prime trade centre of wool for the past 180 years, Bikaner has become a hub for tufted handloom woven carpets. The sale price of a tufted carpet is calculated as per area measurements, ranging from Rs 79 to Rs 235 per square feet.
