Police official held for accepting bribe

Bangalore, Oct 26 (UNI) The Karnataka Lokayukta Police arrested Basavana Bagewadi Sub Division Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhimappa Yamanappa Bellubbi yesterday, while accepting Rs 20,000 as bribe for showing an official favour.

According to a release here today, on receiving a complaint from one Mahadevappa Kenchappa Hirekurabar, the official was caught while accepting the bribe for deleting the names of the complainant's sister and two other ladies from the charge sheet in a case.

Later, the arrested was produced before the Court.
