One arrested in Ajmer Dargah blast case

A
person
was
arrested
today
from
Godda
district
of
Jharkhand
in
connection
with
the
blast
at
the
dargah
of
Khwaja
Moinuddin
Chisti
on
October
11
that
killed
two
persons.
He was identified as Khushibur Rehman, who was working as a madrasa teacher in Churu district of Rajasthan, police sources said.
He was apprehended at his ancestral village, Thakurgunti under Mehraab police station area in the Godda district.
Ajmer police handed him over to the Special Investigation Team probing the Ajmer bomb blast, however, the police refused to divulge any further information in the case.
According to sources, Khushibur Rehman was associated with the 'Deobandi' sect and alleged to have had links with banned terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba.
Terror had struck the highly revered Sufi shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti better known as Khawaja Gharib Nawaz here when a blast inside the complex had injured another 28 as thousands were breaking their day-long Ramzan fast just two days before Eid.
